YOUR OWN REPORTING STRUCTURE · REPORT THE WAY YOU THINK

Your P&L and balance sheet, built the way you report.

No chart of accounts imposed on you, but your own layout. Drag your general ledger accounts into your own categories, decide your own subtotals, sign convention and order, and lay EBITDA and EBIT as subtotals across your own layout. Start from one of the 16 templates or build from scratch.

Drag your accounts into your own categories

After your import, all your general ledger accounts are ready and waiting. You decide where they belong: drag each account to the category you report it under. The mapping is per entity, so the same account code may go to Wages in one BV and to Rent in another. Rather not do it all yourself? Let the AI make a proposal and approve it line by line.

Drag, drop, done. You see per category how many accounts hang under it, and whatever is still unassigned can never silently fall out of your reports.

Subtotals such as EBITDA and EBIT, across your own layout

A subtotal should calculate the way you report. In Easyclose you add EBITDA and EBIT as a subtotal with one click, or you build your own variant by ticking categories. The subtotal calculates across your own layout and never double-counts in the total, however you arrange the structure or rebuild it later.

The subtotal points to your categories and calculates with them, so move a category or rename it and EBITDA simply keeps counting. Subtotals also appear as accent lines in the management report and the consolidation schedule.

Start from a template, then make it entirely yours

You do not have to start with a blank sheet. Choose from 16 ready-made layouts for P&L and balance sheet: RJ models (RJ is Dutch GAAP; standard, by nature and by function), an IFRS-style layout, semi-public models for education and healthcare among others, and sector variants such as construction, trade and hospitality. After that everything is adjustable: add categories, rename them, indent or outdent a level, or build everything from scratch after all.

Switch templates later and the mappings are kept for categories that are substantively the same. You never start mapping from zero again.

One structure for all your BVs and the consolidation

The same categories across the whole group, so comparable figures everywhere. Account mapping is per entity, with version control on your standard mapping: a new BV automatically gets your standard, and after every import new accounts stand out immediately. So you read Engineering, Trading and the consolidation in exactly the same layout.

How it works

Set it up once, and the same clear report rolls out every month.

STEP 1

Choose a template

Start from one of the 16 layouts for P&L and balance sheet, or build your own categories from scratch. Everything stays adjustable.

STEP 2

Drag your accounts

Map your general ledger accounts to your categories by dragging, or let the AI make a proposal that you approve line by line.

STEP 3

The same layout every month

New import, same structure. Only new accounts ask for your attention, everything else lands straight in place.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to redo everything for a new month?

No. The mapping of accounts to categories is remembered per entity. Import a new month and every entry lands straight in the right category. You set the structure up once and benefit from it every month.

What happens with new general ledger accounts?

They stand out. New accounts that do not have a category yet sit separately in the "still to assign" list, so nothing ever silently disappears from your reports. Thanks to version control on your standard mapping, a new entity automatically gets your standard as its starting point.

Can I show EBITDA and EBIT?

Yes. You add EBITDA and EBIT as a subtotal with one click, or you build your own subtotal by ticking categories yourself. The subtotal calculates across your layout and never double-counts in the total.

Can I use multiple structures or templates?

You choose one layout for your P&L and one for your balance sheet, and it applies to all your entities, so the figures stay comparable everywhere. You can switch templates at any time; mappings are kept for categories that are substantively the same.

Does it work per BV and consolidated?

Yes. The structure is one for the whole group, the account mapping is per entity. So you see every BV and the consolidation in exactly the same categories, and the same account code may still go to a different category per BV.

Can my accountant look in?

Yes. You invite your accountant as an extra user, for example with read-only rights. They see the same reports in your layout and can click any amount through to the underlying entry, or export tables to Excel.
