With a live connection your entries come in by themselves: every night, or on request. Using a package without a connection? Then you export an audit file (XAF, the standard Dutch audit file) or an Excel and drag it into Easyclose; that works with every package and costs you a few minutes a month. Both routes deliver exactly the same structure, so the connection is pure convenience on top.

Nothing special, and that is exactly the point. The connection delivers the same normalised entry lines as the import, so your mapping, reporting structure, dashboards and consolidation stay in place. You do not have to set up anything again.
API keys and tokens stay encrypted on the server and never reach your browser. Your data is stored in the EU and the connection works under the same isolation as you do: it can never see more than your own entity. Read more on the security page.
The connections with Exact Online, AFAS and e-Boekhouden and the push connection from your own data warehouse cost nothing extra: they are part of your subscription. The Syntess connection costs € 89 per month, for the connector application that fetches your figures every night. For connections on request you always hear the costs up front, no surprises. And the import simply remains part of your subscription, so you are never forced to take a connection.
The other way round from a normal connection: Easyclose fetches nothing, your warehouse sends. In the wizard you create an API key and get a step-by-step plan with the field names, an example view in SQL and ready-made calls in curl, PowerShell and Python. Your BI team builds a view with those fields and a scheduled job that sends the lines to Easyclose every night in three calls (open, lines, finish). If you send the balances per account as well, Easyclose checks after every run that everything reconciles. The opening balance comes along as period 0, is entered by hand, or Easyclose rolls it forward from the previous year. Count on half a day of work for your BI team.
Always. The export route keeps working fully alongside the connection. If you disconnect a package, you simply upload by hand again from that moment, with the same structure and the same reports.
