CLOSE DASHBOARD · A REAL-TIME VIEW OF YOUR CLOSE

One board that shows where your close stands.

Stop asking around who has got to where. The close dashboard is a dedicated dashboard builder for your month-end close: drag-and-drop widgets with the progress, tasks running late, bottlenecks that come back every month and financial checks that turn green or red. Fed live from your close checklist and your own figures.

Your dashboard fills itself, month after month

Every widget reads along live with your close checklist and your figures. Tick off a task and the progress bar moves. Let a deadline pass and the "late" widget counts it. There is nothing to maintain, the board does the work.

You choose which widgets sit on your board: progress (for the team, per entity or per person), a filtered task list, bottlenecks, financial checks or a block of free text with your own working agreements.

Bottlenecks that come back every month, finally visible

Everyone senses which task holds up the close, but nobody can prove it. Easyclose can: every status change in the checklist is recorded in a log, and the bottleneck widget counts per task how often it was finished after the deadline. "It always overruns" becomes a concrete conversation with a name and a number.

!Project cost calculationlate in 5 of the last 6 months · on average 2.4 days past the deadline
!Prepare VAT returnlate in 3 of the last 6 months · keeps waiting on the cost calculation
·Process bank transactionsAlmost always on time · not a bottleneck
·Post depreciationLate once in six months · an incident, not a pattern

The numbers come from the history of your own close checklist, not from an estimate. Structurally late stands out, a one-off incident stays dimmed.

Checks that turn green or red on your real figures

This is the widget that makes the close dashboard unique: you link a check to a general ledger account, a category or the intercompany current account, and say what balance you expect. If it matches, the widget turns green. If it deviates, you see it immediately, before anyone opens the report.

Intercompany current account, groupIntercompany positions across all entities cancel out€0.00
Suspense accountGeneral ledger account 2100 · expected balance €0€0.00
!Payroll clearing accountExpected €0, an amount remains · the task "Reconcile payroll" is still open€1,250.00

You set the expectation yourself: exactly zero, a fixed amount, or just show the balance without judgement. A small margin stops rounding cents from raising false alarms. And you can link a check to a task, so you see whether the related work has already been ticked off.

Watch your close get shorter every month

The goal of all that insight is simple: finish earlier. Because Easyclose records for every period when the tasks were completed, you see the lead time of your close month after month. Fixed a bottleneck? You will see it right here.

From 12 to 6 working days in half a year. Not by working harder, but because the team could see every month what was left hanging and which task kept running late, and did something about it.

Build it yourself, just like your financial dashboards

Already know the Easyclose dashboard builder? The close dashboard works exactly the same: pick widgets from the gallery, drag them into place, done. Only these widgets are not about revenue and margin, but about your close process. The two kinds of dashboards are completely separate, so your financial boards stay untouched.

You can create multiple boards too: a detailed board for the team and a summary for management, each with its own widgets. Everyone in your organisation looks at the same live picture.

A board for your close in three steps

No reporting tool to learn, no formulas to write. If your close checklist is up and running, your first dashboard is there in a few minutes.

STEP 1

Pick your widgets

Open the gallery and choose what you want to see: progress, tasks running late, bottlenecks, a financial check or a block of text. Each widget can be set to the team, an entity or a person.

STEP 2

Drag your board together

Move the widgets around until the board tells the story you care about. Progress at the top, checks below, bottlenecks on the right. Your close, your layout.

STEP 3

Everyone sees the same

The whole team and management look at the same live board. Whoever ticks something off sees the board move along. No more asking around how far the close has got.

Try the close dashboard in the demo

The demo runs entirely in your browser with fictitious figures, no account needed. Two close dashboards are ready and waiting, including a month-end close in progress with bottlenecks and checks. Feel free to build one of your own.

  • Progress, late tasks and bottlenecks live on one board
  • Financial checks that turn green or red
  • Build it yourself by dragging widgets
  • Separate from your financial dashboards, same ease of building

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from the financial dashboards?

The financial dashboards are about your figures: revenue, margin, liquidity. The close dashboard is about your close process: how far along you are, what is late, which checks are green. Two separate worlds built on the same principle, so whatever you build on your financial boards stays untouched.

Does the data really come from the checklist?

Yes. The progress, the task lists and the bottlenecks come straight from your close checklist: every task, deadline and status change counts live, and the bottlenecks are calculated from the recorded history. The financial checks additionally read your own general ledger figures.

Can management watch along?

Yes. Everyone you add to your organisation sees the same dashboards, updated live. You can also add someone as a viewer: they can see everything but change or tick off nothing. Management keeps sight of the close without anything being able to go wrong.

Does it work per BV and for the group?

Yes. You set widgets per entity, for the whole team or per person, and progress can span all your entities together. The intercompany check deliberately looks across the entities: it only turns green once the mutual positions of the whole group cancel out.

Can I create multiple boards?

Yes. Create as many close dashboards as you like and switch between them at the top of the screen. Many teams build a detailed working board for themselves and a compact summary for management or the accountant.

Does it work on mobile too?

Yes. Like the rest of Easyclose, the close dashboard works on your phone and tablet. Handy for a quick look at whether the intercompany check has turned green yet, without opening your laptop.
